A man was fatally shot by a Tombstone Marshal's deputy early this morning after he was caught breaking into a home, authorities said.The Marshal's office received a 911 call at about 4:40 a.m. from a resident who said that someone was trying to break into their home, according to a Cochise County Sheriff's Office news release.
The deputy responded to the home and encountered a man who appeared to be armed.
The deputy shot the man, fatally wounding him.
No further information was available.
