SAMSUNG FACTORY( Abuses Chinese KIDS) SEE STORY

My name is Li Qiang and I lead a group called China Labor Watch that investigates and exposes worker exploitation. As a rights lawyer committed to knowing every detail of China's labor laws -- and how they're ignored and broken -- I was shocked when I learned what's happening in the Chinese factories supplying electronic giant Samsung.

Children as young as 14 years old work 11 hour night shifts, 28 days a month and are denied medical care and even pay.

When 14-year-old Xiaofang (an alias, for her protection) got hurt after she fell down a flight of stairs at the factory, the owners and managers wouldn't even let her see a doctor. They wouldn't give her sick leave to recover and docked 6 days of her pay. Then, she was fired without any compensation.

Our investigators heard dozens of similar accounts from employees at the factory -- even workers being hit by managers or forced to stand all day as punishment for a mistake. In addition to laboring in dangerous conditions every day, we discovered that children like Xiaofang working in this Chinese factory are paid only 70% of what adults are paid. The factory owners know it, but create fake IDs for the children and exploit them with lower pay and part-time hours so the authorities won't find out.

A few months ago, I saw the tremendous impact that a petition on Change.org had when it called for Apple to improve conditions in a supplier's factory. More than 250,000 people signed that petition, started by an Apple customer in Washington, DC. It was also covered by worldwide news media extensively. And in the end, Apple listened. When we found out about the horrific working conditions at Samsung's supplier factory, I knew we had to start a petition on Change.org right away.

PITTSBURGH (CHILD told POLICE mommy SOLD neighbors DOG on INTERNET)

A Pittsburgh-area couple faces charges of conspiracy after selling a neighbor's puppy on Craigslist for $50, inadvertently caught by their 5-year-old son's slip of the tongue.
Scott Duff, 41, and Roxanne Duff, 38, of Leechberg, Pa., sold their neighbor's 6-month-old Rottweiler puppy, Bailey, after it wandered into their yard, along with a golden retriever mix, on Sept. 3. The Duffs then repeatedly gave authorities conflicting information about the sale and whereabouts of the dog, according to the police criminal complaint filed in Armstrong County.
When Roxanne Duff left a phone message for police on Sept. 3 saying the dogs had come into her residence and asked what to do, she was told to contact the local animal shelter or a dog catcher. Duff told police that she posted on several Internet sites seeking the owners of the wayward dogs.
She also told police that the Rottweiler puppy had since left her property and had not returned.
Later that evening, Shawn Lerch, the owner of the Rottweiler puppy and the golden retriever mix, contacted the Leechberg Police Department to say that Roxanne Duff had returned the golden retriever, but he needed someone to check the area for the missing Bailey. Later, he told police that he had reason to believe that the Duffs still had Bailey.
Scott Duff asked the police to ask Lerch to stop calling him, because "they did not have the dog," according to the police report.
The next day, Chief of Police Michael Diebold went to the Duff residence to question the couple about the missing Rottweiler and found found the Duffs' young child at home with a babysitter. Officers asked the two about the missing puppy, and the child stated "his mommy had given the dog to a woman from the Internet."
Diebold then contacted Scott Duff to confront him with this new information, informing him that charges would be filed if he still had Bailey or had "otherwise disposed" of the dog.
"Mr. Duff continued to say to the chief that the puppy escaped from his residence after it initially was found," the police report stated. Calls to the Leechberg Police Department went unanswered.
Shortly after this conversation, Scott Duff phoned Chief Diebold and admitted that his wife had "given the dog away by posting an ad on Craigslist," according to the police report. After Diebold told Scott Duff that his wife would have to call and that the dog "needed to be returned immediately," she admitted that she had put the pup up for sale on Craigslist for $50, and that her previous report about not having the dog was false.

IRAN Nuclear program ( POWER lines BLOWN UP)

The chief of Iran’s nuclear program says the power lines to his nuclear facilities were sabotaged. U.S. Special Forces have trained for operations inside Iran for years. Do these latest disclosures suggest they are already on the ground?
On Monday, Fereydoun Abbasi, Iran’s vice president and the chief of its nuclear-energy agency, disclosed that power lines between the holy city of Qom and the underground Fordow nuclear centrifuge facility were blown up with explosives on Aug. 17. He also said the power lines leading to Iran’s Natanz facilities were blown up as well. On the day after the power was cut off at Fordow, an inspector from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) asked to visit the facility.
