PIMA County ARIZONA (CHILD KILLER) HANGS Himself in CALIFORNIA Prison

The state budget got a boost--a drop-in-the-bucket boost--when the lifetime incarceration of James Lee Crummel was cut short Tuesday.

The murderer of a 13-year-old Costa Mesa boy hung himself in his San Quentin prison cell, according to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitations.

Crummel, 68, had been on Death Row since 2004, when he was convicted of the 1979 kidnapping, sexual abuse and killing of James Wilfred Trotter, just one young victim authorities suspect Crummel preyed on over the years.

He was convicted of the 1967 murder of a 9-year-old boy in Pima County, Arizona, but a judge later overturned it after Crummel had served five years in prison. He'd also been questioned about 1981 and 1995 murders of boys in Anaheim Hills and Big Bear City respectively.

Much to the chagrin of residents in pre-Megan's Law Newport Beach, "high-risk" sex offender Crummel resided there. Eleven years after Trotter disappeared while walking to school, Crummel posed as a random person in calling police to report finding charred human bones while hiking near Ortega Highway in Riverside County. The bones were later identified as Trotter's.

Crummel's reputation as a sex offender and proximity to Trotter's home--about a mile away from his--led him to be suspected and ultimately convicted of the boy's murder.

ARIZONA (Expands Medical Marijuana) Program

PHOENIX - Arizona is considering requests to expand its fledgling medical marijuana program to allow use of the drug for an array of conditions, including post-traumatic stress syndrome and migraines, beyond those allowed under the law approved by voters two years ago.
The Department of Health Services, which is required under the 2010 law to consider requests to expand coverage, held a public hearing Friday on the first batch of requests. A decision on the requests is expected in mid-August.

Besides PTSD and migraines, the requests for covered conditions include depression and general anxiety disorder. The law already permits medical marijuana use for such medical reasons as cancer, glaucoma, AIDS, chronic pain, muscle spasms and hepatitis C.

MOUNTAIN Lion (KILLED) DOWNTOWN Santa Monica (Hmm) Alley Cat

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Police shot and killed a mountain lion that somehow made its way through an urban landscape before it was found early Tuesday in a downtown Santa Monica office building courtyard near an outdoor mall and a blufftop park that offers tourists views of the ocean and the city's famed pier.

Authorities made multiple attempts to try and subdue the young male cat, including use of a tranquilizer and a pepper ball, before killing it, said Capt. Daniel Sforza of the state Fish and Game Department.
The mountain lion was found about 6 a.m. by a janitor in the courtyard near a popular open-air mall, the Third Street Promenade, and just a couple of blocks from the beach. The street that has a preschool, a church and other businesses was cordoned off as a precaution.

U.S FIGHTER JETS (Scrambled for BOMB Threat Today) BOEING 767 Carrying 179 people

A flight from Paris bound for Charlotte was diverted to Maine on Tuesday after reports say a passenger claimed to have a device surgically implanted device inside.
US Airways flight 787--which left Paris' Charles de Gaulle airport shortly after 11:00 a.m. local time en route to Charlotte Douglas International--was rerouted to Bangor, Maine, shortly after noon ET, CNN reported. The Boeing 767 was carrying 179 passengers and a crew of nine, a spokesman for the airline said, confirming that there had been an unspecified "security issue."
A Homeland Security official told NBC News that the flight was diverted because a "passenger was acting suspiciously."

According to CNN, a French woman on board the flight handed a note to a flight attendant, claiming that she had a surgically implanted explosive inside of her.
Two F-15 fighter jets were scrambled to intercept the flight over the Atlantic, NORAD said. The plane landed safely in Bangor.
Doctors on board the flight examined the woman and "saw no sign of recent scars," according to House Homeland Security Committee chairman Peter King's office.
The woman, a French citizen from Cameroon, had planned a 10-day visit to the United States, CNN added. She was traveling alone and had no checked baggage.

ZETAS Drug Leader (EL Loco) Arrested for Dumping 49 Bodies on Highway

Authorities have arrested an alleged Zetas drug cartel leader nicknamed "El Loco," AKA the Fool or the Crazy One, on charges that he dumped 49 headless bodies on a highway outside Monterrey, Mexico.
When the Mexican Army came to arrest Daniel Elizondo Jesus Ramirez, say authorities, Ramirez attempted to elude capture by shooting at troops and throwing a fragmentation grenade. Zetas commanders nicknamed The Shrimp and The Speaker have also been linked to the body dump, but officials have not yet apprehended them.

The mutilated bodies of 43 men and six women were found near Cadereyta, Mexico on May 13. Though the condition of the bodies made it difficult to identify any of them, some physical features and tattoos indicated that they may have been migrants from southern Mexico and Central America.

IRAN (4 man Sentenced to Death) BY Hanging For Sodomy

Iran: Four men sentenced to death by hanging for sodomy, in accord with Sharia law

Yet most gay rights organizations in the West ally with the forces that foster Sharia and Islamization. Someday they may regret that alliance, if their friends succeed in their objectives and turn and come for them. "Four Iranian men sentenced to death by hanging for sodomy," by Dan Littauer for LGBTQ Nation, May 12:
An Iranian court has sentenced four men from the town of Choram, in the Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province, to death by hanging for sodomy. The four men — identified as “Saadat Arefi,” “Vahid Akbari,” “Javid Akbari,” and “Houshmand Akbari” — were due to be executed shortly after their verdict was approved recently by high court judges, according to a report from the Human Rights Activist News Agency (HRANA) in Iran.
According to HRANA and JOOPEA, the men will be hanged for sodomy in accordance with Sharia law.

According to Iranian human rights campaigners, over 4,000 gay men and lesbians have
been executed since the Ayatollahs seized power in 1979.
A gay activist based in Iran said, “Although being gay is not a crime based on Iranian criminal law but this is the most clear statement against same sex-acts in past months.”
He added that “there wereof [sic] our other men hanged in past five months.”
London based Iranian Human Rights Lawyer, Mehri Jafari said, “I am horrified and saddened to have heard the news about these four men. Not only with regards to the execution which is about to take place, but the fact that is beyond our control.”
“There are two important issues in this case; the location of the alleged occurrence and the interpretation of the Sharia’ law that a Hodud (strict Sharia punishment) is eminent.“Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad is one of the most undeveloped provinces in Iran and it is obvious that a lack of access to lawyers and fair trial can be considered a serious issue in this case. After this announcement it is very likely that the execution will be carried out soon, and the remote location makes it difficult to exert any influence on the process.”

Jafari further pleaded, “I hope international organizations act quickly and effectively on this specific case.”...

49 (DEAD BODIES) Dumped on HIGHWAY in MEXICO Police Investigate

MONTERREY, Mexico (AP) — Dozens of bodies, at least some of them mutilated, were found Sunday dumped on a highway near the northern Mexican metropolis of Monterrey, officials said.
A law enforcement official said 37 bodies were found in the town of San Juan on the non-toll highway to the border city of Reynosa at about 4 a.m. (5 a.m. EDT; 0900 GMT), but officials were still investigating.

Authorities closed off the highway, blocking the way for hundreds of motorists, as federal and state police, joined by Mexican troops, sealed off the scene.
ZETAS DRUG CARTEL
The law enforcement official asked that his name not be used because he was not authorized to release the information. The details, however, match reports in Mexican news media.
The discovery echoes several other recent cases in which drug gangs have left bodies scattered in public places as warnings to rivals. Thirty-five bodies were left at a freeway overpass in the city of Veracruz in September. Twenty-six were found in November in Guadalajara.

WHITE Buffalo Calf (KILLED) LAKOTA Ranch

A North Texas ranch is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest in the killing of its sacred white buffalo.
The rare white buffalo, a male calf named Lightning Medicine Cloud, was found slaughtered and skinned on April 30 on Lakota Ranch near Greenville, Texas, just shy of its first birthday. Its mother died the next day.

The ranch's owner, Arby Little Soldier, said he thinks the mother was poisoned. Little Soldier, the great-great-great grandson of Sitting Bull, was away on a trip when the white buffalo was killed.
"Someone who probably knew we were out of town killed him and stripped the meat," Little Soldier told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. "I think it was a professional hit on the mom."

According to the paper, the ranch and its supporters are offering $45,000 for information leading to the killer. According to the ranch's website, Native Americans "see the white buffalo calf as the sign to begin life's sacred hoop."
And they are very rare. According to the National Bison Association, just one out of every 10 million buffalo born are white.

RUSSIANS ( RIOT over PRESIDENT) Former KGB SPY

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russian riot police beat protesters about the head with batons and detained more than 400 on Sunday after clashes broke out at a Moscow rally by thousands of people against Vladimir Putin on the eve of his return to the presidency.
Opposition leaders Alexei Navalny, Boris Nemtsov and Sergei Udaltsov were among those detained during violence that showed the depth of divisions and tensions in Russia as the former KGB spy starts his six-year third term on Monday.

Police struck out with batons and hit several protesters on the head as they pushed back a crowd of thousands which advanced towards them holding white metal crowd barriers and throwing objects, Reuters reporters at the rally said.
The demonstrators fought back with flagpoles but police formed a line with riot shields to prevent them moving towards a bridge leading across the Moscow river to the Kremlin.

14 yr OLD KILLS Father (ICE AGENT)

CARSON, Calif. (AP) — The 14-year-old son of a federal agent was arrested Thursday in the shooting death of his father in their Southern California home, authorities said.
The boy was arrested at his home in Carson, which is 20 miles south of downtown Los Angeles, Los Angeles County Deputy Guillermina Saldana said. No motive for the shooting was released.

The boy called 911 shortly before 9:30 p.m. Wednesday and reported that his father had been shot in the back of the head by a bullet fired into their home from the backyard, Sgt. Dana Ellison said.
The 40-year-old agent was found in the television room of the two-story home, which is on a tidy street near a school. He had been shot with a handgun and was dead when deputies arrived, Saldana said.
It was unclear whether anyone else was in the home at the time of the shooting, she added.
The agent's name was not immediately released but he had worked for ICE for four years, Saldana said.
He worked on homeland security investigations, the federal agency said.
"This is a difficult time for ICE, especially for the family and loved ones of the agent. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers,' ICE Director John Morton said in a statement.
