PHOENIX ( One man died -and two injured hiking Cave Creek )
PHOENIX -- One man died, and two other people were treated for injuries Sunday in what proved to be a dangerous day for Valley hikers.
A 58-year-old man was hiking at Spur Cross in Cave Creek when he reportedly fell approximately 10 feet. The man's friends performed CPR, but paramedics weren't able to save his life.
A 50-year-old woman who was hiking Piestawa Peak also needed medical attention after she slipped and hit her head. Fortunately, she was able to walk down the mountain with rescuers.
Rescue crews were also needed at the Cholla Trail on Camelback Mountain when a 37-year-old woman fainted, fell, and hurt her arm. The woman was taken to the hospital for treatment for her injuries.
Phoenix fire officials said the warmer weather has led to a lot more hikers this weekend, which results in a lot of loose gravel on the trails.
They advise those that want to get out and enjoy the Valley's many hiking options to pick a trail they are able to navigate.
"You should try on ones that are not quite as steep, not quite as challenging if you're just entry level in exercise," said Tony Mure with Phoenix Fire.

RUSSIA Moscow ( To pass anti Gay -law ) No kissing in public
MOSCOW (AP) — Kissing his boyfriend during a protest in front of Russia's parliament earned Pavel Samburov 30 hours of detention and the equivalent of a $16 fine on a charge of "hooliganism." But if a bill that comes up for a first vote later this month becomes law, such a public kiss could be defined as illegal "homosexual propaganda" and bring a fine of up to $16,000.
Kissing to protest the law russia is trying to pass ( No kissing in public by homosexual's )
The legislation being pushed by the Kremlin and the Russian Orthodox Church would make it illegal nationwide to provide minors with information that is defined as "propaganda of sodomy, lesbianism, bisexuality and transgenderism." It includes a ban on holding public events that promote gay rights. St. Petersburg and a number of other Russian cities already have similar laws on their books.
The bill is part of an effort to promote traditional Russian values as opposed to Western liberalism, which the Kremlin and church see as corrupting Russian youth and by extension contributing to a wave of protest against President Vladimir Putin's rule.
Samburov describes the anti-gay bill as part of a Kremlin crackdown on minorities of any kind — political and religious as well as sexual — designed to divert public attention from growing discontent with Putin's rule.

Deadly Cargo ( Sent from Arizona to England - Box if tires that had black widow spiders in them ) Spider gets bad rep
Deadly cargo: black widow spiders mailed out from Arizona
Published January 14, 2013
The Sun
Deadly black widow spiders were discovered at a business in England after receiving a container of tires shipped in from America.
The alarm was sounded after the spiders, which have a bite 15 times more poisonous than a rattlesnake, were spotted in the container. Shockingly, it is the second time in just five weeks that the black widows have arrived at the Fendercare Marine office in Seething, near Norwich.
The spiders arrived in a tire shipment ordered from Arizona.
The creatures are thought to have nested and hatched a brood of young inside the consignment before its 5,000-mile journey to the UK. Mark Cook, health and safety boss at Fendercare, said: “It's not something you expect to see, especially in the outback of Norfolk.
“It is quite rare and not something we get on a regular basis, but we are a global operator so it is one of those things.
“We take containers from all over the place, and our guys are used to checking for wildlife, so when they opened the doors they spotted the spiders and shut the doors to keep them trapped in.
“The poor little creatures have got a bad reputation with people thinking that their bite is immediately fatal, but generally people are just fairly sick.”
Pest control workers were called and the containers were fumigated killing all of the spiders.

OBAMA News ( New federal laws that may allow immigrants to get drivers licenses in Arizona )
Migrants could qualify for Ariz. driver's licenses
Posted: Jan 20, 2013 11:14 AM by Associated Press
PHOENIX (AP) - Updated guidelines by federal authorities could possibly open the door for young illegal immigrants to get driver's licenses in Arizona.
The Department of Homeland Security announced Friday that those who receive deferred action from deportation through President Barack Obama's new immigration policy are considered to be lawfully present in the U.S.
Arizona currently bars deferred action recipients from obtaining state-issued driver's licenses.
Gov. Jan Brewer issued an executive order last year barring illegal immigrants who receive federal work permits through the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.
The Arizona Republic (http://bit.ly/XkwRul) says Brewer's order was based on the grounds that deferred action recipients aren't authorized to be in the U.S.
Therefore they don't meet requirements under state law for obtaining a state-issued driver's license.
