NCRI - Head of the State Prisons Organization in Iran, said that ten thousand prisoners convicted on drug related charges have been sent to concentration camps.
In an interview with state-run news agency IRNA on Friday, Gholam Hossein Ismaili, said that the prisoners have been sent to concentration camps in Isfahan and Khorasan Razavi provinces.
Based on local media, there are 217 thousand prisoners in Iran with half of them for drug charges.
Head of the State Security Forces in Iran, Ismail Ahmadi Moqaddam, had previously said that the aim to operate 11
concentration camps was to punish those involved in drugs.
This is what comes to my mind when I think of "concentration camps,...
Mick being Mick gives the perfect response- Boycott? Heck, no, I’ll play MORE concerts!
Via Jewish Press:
Despite a barrage of attacks from British, European and U.S. Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) groups, the Rolling Stones will perform their planned concert in Jerusalem on Israel’s Independence Day, Monday, April 15.
“We’ve been slammed and smacked and twittered a lot by the anti-Israeli side,” said Mick Jagger, the band’s leader and most recognizable member since 1963. “All I can say is: anything worth doing is worth overdoing. So we decided to add a concert on Tuesday.”
Needless to say, tickets to both concerts, Monday night in Teddy Stadium in Jerusalem and Tuesday night in Bloomfield Stadium, Tel Aviv, have been sold out even as Jagger was speaking.
“This is a huge mistake for the Stones,” declared BDS proponent Rabbi Lynn Gottlieb. “They stand to lose a lot of money as a result of showing solidarity with Zionism, because their most devoted fans also support boycotting Israel.”

Thousands of California’s paroled child molesters, rapists and other high-risk sex offenders are removing their GPS trackers and receiving very little consequences. A Los Angeles Times investigation found that the state’s prisons are so packed to the brim that sex offenders are more often paroled than jailed, and they can easily disable their tracking devices without serving time for it. Many even go on to commit more crimes including sexual battery, kidnapping and attempted manslaughter.
“It’s a huge problem,” said Fresno parole agent Matt Hill. “If the public knew, they’d be shocked.” Gov. Jerry Brown and the legislature’s “realignment” program began referring parole violators to county jails instead of prisons to reduce overcrowding. Arrest warrants for GPS tamperers increased 28 percent in 2012 compared to the 12 months before the change in custody began, The Times reports.
Some county jails have freed parole violators almost immediately, while some have refused to accept them at all. The investigation found that parole violators in San Joaquin County are often set free in less than 24 hours.
With such little consequences, parolees “certainly are feeling more bold,” Jack Wallace, an executive at the California Sex Offender Management Board, told The Times.
In Fresno County, 42 sex offenders violated parole repeatedly during the yearlong period starting in October 2011. One was Fidel Tafoya, who has a history of assaulting women on college campuses. He was ordered to serve five months for violating parole in May of last year, but the jail had no room for him. He was released immediately, The Times reports.

The girl received severe injuries and has been admitted to a government hospital.
“The victim was raped by a man inside the school campus yesterday. Her parents approached us this morning and a case has been registered. The victim could not tell us anything about the attacker.
“We are investigating the case. We are questioning the male staff, including teachers and a guard,” a senior police official said.
Enraged over the incident, locals staged protests in the locality.
New Delhi: Two siblings who were allegedly kidnapped from their school four days ago were found dead in New Delhi today. Their bodies were found in decomposed state near Pragati Maidan in the heart of the city.
The children - a seven-year-old boy and his five-year-old sister - went missing four days ago from Mandawli in east Delhi. They had gone to their school on February 26, but did not return home.
The kidnappers called the parents a couple of times and demanded Rs. 30 lakh as ransom. They also informed the parents about the place they wanted them to come to with the desired money and fixed the time for meeting twice. The parents however say they did not go to pay the amount hoping the police would nab the culprits soon.
Sources in the police say the day the children went missing, their mother was mysteriously locked inside her house when she was about to leave to pick her children from the school. The school's management claims the children knew the person they left with.
"The children recognised the man as a family member. They called him "chacha" (uncle). He had come to pick them up earlier as well. The police have taken our statements and spoken to several students too who are helping them draw a sketch of the suspect," the school's principal said.
But the children's mother is inconsolable. "It is the fault of the school. I used to go there to bring them daily," she said.
Her husband works at a financial institution. He suspects his landlord's involvement in the kidnapping of his children.
Angry over the alleged security lapse at the school and inaction of the police, around a 100 people gathered outside Mandawli police station today and raised slogans. Protests also happened outside the school.
The capital saw much violent protests yesterday in Mangolpuri area, where a seven-year-old girl was allegedly raped at a primary school run by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD).

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry has announced the United States will provide $60 million to hand-picked Syrian rebel groups.
Kerry said the aid, to be provided “immediately in non-lethal assistance” would come in addition to “further steps” to be taken in working with the opposition fighters.
The American secretary of state made the statement at a meeting in Rome of the Friends of Syria following talks with Syrian National Council (SNC) leader Ahmed Moaz al-Khatib. The rebel leader had earlier threatened to boycott the meeting to protest the foot-dragging on support by Western backers.
Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is a “desperate leader,” said Kerry, who praised the SNC as the sole legitimate voice of the Syrian people. He emphasized Syrian bravery in facing “brutal regimes” and Iranian forces – possibly also an oblique reference to Hizbullah guerrilla fighters as well as the Syrian Army and Iranian Revolutionary Guards.
“No people should live in fear of their so-called leaders,” Kerry said. “We must meet the moment.” Kerry added that the U.S. would for the first time aid the rebels with food rations and medical supplies, and promised Washington would take “further steps” to help.
The announcement was also a blunt message that radical Islamist groups, including the 13-member Islamic Front for the Liberation of Syria, are not included on the list of those to receive support.
Many of the coalition’s member groups are linked to the international global jihad Al Qaeda terrorist organization. Moreover, the coalition split off from the main body of opposition forces some time ago.
Al Nusra Front is currently banned in the United States, appearing on the official list of terrorist organizations. The Islamic Front for the Liberation of Syria rejects any form of cooperation with the mainstream Syrian National Coalition (SNC) due to its ties with “foreign” Western nations .
On Saturday, the SNC is slated to hold elections for a government-in-exile which will choose a prime minister and a cabinet to begin the tasks of administration over areas in Syria which opposition forces now control.
The UK formally joined the United States on Thursday in its decision to train and equip opposition forces in their fight to oust Syrian President Bashar al-Assad from power.
UK Foreign Secretary William Hague met in Rome to discuss the issue with members of the mainstream Syrian National Council (SNC) ahead of his meeting with Kerry at a gathering of the Friends of Syria, making good on a promise he extended last summer. At that time, Hague had pledged an extra five million pounds Sterling ($7.8 million) in non-lethal aid, to include medical supplies, communications equipment and body armor.
Hague had managed to persuade European Union leaders to tweak a sanction against weapons supplies to Syria in order to allow the Allies to provide armored military vehicles and body armor, as well as military training.
