TUCSON- Two men were arrested and charged with endangerment after deputies say they pointed lasers at a commercial airline on March 5th.
DIY 1MW Pulse Laser Gun | Hack N ModPima County Sheriff's deputies say 23-year-old Jack Downey and 22-year-old Daniel Pribula could face prison time and hefty fines.
The Sheriff's Air Unit was in the air at the same time the commercial airliner was. The air unit's pilot was also hit multiple times with the laser.
Sheriff's Deputy and pilot Chris James says, the longer the strike the more dangerous it can be for the pilot. "The beam increases as it gains in altitude so when it strikes the cockpit it blooms and it refracts in the cockpit and it illuminates pretty much the entire cockpit."
After the commercial pilot reported the laser strikes to the tower, air unit deputies located Downey and Pribula.
Pilots are asking people to think twice about pointing lasers at the aircrafts. They say it's not a game and the outcome could be disastrous.
Tucson is among the top airports in the country for laser strikes.

Violent clashes between students at Allahabad University, crude bombs hurled
Allahabad: Violence broke out today at the Allahabad University campus with two groups of students hurling crude bombs at each other and indulging in heavy stone-pelting during distribution of forms for a Uttar Pradesh government's scheme for free laptops.

The students fought pitched battles with personnel belonging to police and Rapid Action Force who rushed to the scene and used batons to quell the mob, police said adding that nearly 20 students and six security personnel received injuries in the incident.

Trouble began around noon when a large number of students, most of them in their first year at the varsity, thronged the counters to obtain forms for availing the scheme introduced by the Samajwadi Party government wherein free laptops are to be distributed among those who have passed their Intermediate
examinations.

A quarrel erupted between inmates of two hostels, apparently over a minor issue, and they came to blows even as the varsity officials tried to pacify the agitated students.

However, violence escalated with some of the students indulging in heavy stone-pelting and a few crude bombs were also lobbed by both sides.

Security personnel have been deployed in strength at the sprawling University premises though no arrests have been made so far.

3 adult siblings arrested for living with mother's skeletal remains

OITA —

Three siblings lived for up to three years with what is thought to be the skeleton of their mother, police in Japan said Thursday, with a report adding they believed she had not died but become a god.
The three—two women aged 59 and 52 and their 65 year-old brother—have denied that they conspired to abandon a body, a crime under Japanese law, because they say their 88-year-old mother is still alive.
“Our mother has become a god. She is not dead but is in the process of being elevated into a higher being,” they told officers in Usa, Oita Prefecture, according to Jiji Press.
A police spokesman told AFP they were awaiting final confirmation but believed the skeleton was that of a woman who would be 88 if she were still alive.
“We discovered today from an autopsy that the skeletonised body is that of a female who died two or three years ago, but we have to wait for the results if a DNA test to confirm her identity,” the spokesman said.

Texas ( Mother charged with using a stun gun to discipline her 14-yr old son )

Multifunctional stun gun - X-1 - Raysun (Taiwan Manufacturer) - No ...A Texas mother has been charged with using a stun gun to discipline her 14-year-old son.

Kimira Hysaw, 32, "tased" her son at least four times, shocking him on the head, back, arms and legs while disciplining him for not obeying her instructions, according to witness reports and court documents obtained by Austin Fox News affiliate KTBC.

The incident was brought to the attention of local authorities by a teacher who contacted Child Protective Services after the victim's 4-year-old sister told the teacher about the  abuse.

When interviewed by Pflugerville Police, the little girl said her brother was punished for playing basketball without permission. According to the sister, the boy was held down by his father while the mother "tased" the child using a small pink stun gun she carried in her purse.

Police said they questioned a brother of the victim who them his brother would often receive similar punishments when he failed to return home on time.

When police located the boy they noted injuries on his upper right arm and upper right back consistent with those made by a stun gun, reported KTBC.

When questioned by police, Hysaw claimed she had only "threatened" her son with her stun gun.

The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services refused to comment on the case, but a spokesman told KTBC that a child in a similar case would be temporarily relocated to another family member or family friend.

The whereabouts of the 14-year-old boy was not reported could not be determined.

Stun guns are legal in Texas law.

"It's a terrible thing that someone would actually use that to discipline their child," said local gun store owner Michael Cargill who sells similar stun guns for self-defense

Brazilian football star Bruno Fernandes de Souza has admitted he knew of his ex-girlfriend's murder, who was cut up and fed to dogs, but denied having any involvement in the killing.

De Souza is on trial for allegedly ordering the gruesome murder of ex-girlfriend Eliza Samudio to avoid paying her child support, according to reports in the the New York Daily News.

Souza told jurors that he learned about Samudio's death from his cousin, who had witnessed the killing, the paper said. (Also see: Story in pics)

Prosecutors said De Souza fathered a son with the 25-year old Samudio and then ordered goons to kill her to avoid paying child support.

The soccer star insisted he was not the one who ordered the slaying, but said that he felt guilty for her death, and his testimony was a dramatic reversal of earlier statements in which Souza said he didn't know what happened to the brunette stunner, who disappeared in June 2010 after claiming Souza fathered her baby.

The 25-year-old model was lured to a Rio de Janiero hotel on June 4 thinking she was going to take a DNA test to prove the married Flamengo football club star was the father of her son, born in February 2010, prosecutors said..

Samudio was kidnapped and taken to the star's vacation pad in the city of Belo Horizonte, more than 200 miles away, where she was strangled and dismembered by a gang of Souza's pals, authorities said.

According to media reports, Bruno Fernandes was tipped to play in the next World Cup.
