Kuwait ( American citizens trapped on U.S. base in Kuwait )
At least 100 American citizens have been trapped for months on two U.S. bases inside Kuwait after local police unjustly issued warrants for their arrest, a U.S. defense contractor told FoxNews.com.
Most of the Americans were working as Arabic translators for Global Linguist Solutions, which ended a lucrative deal with its sponsoring Kuwaiti subcontractor, Al Shora International General Trading & Contracting and signed on with another company. Sources told FoxNews.com Al Shora's managing director is the sister-in-law of the Kuwaiti prime minister.
When the contract ended Feb. 17, Al Shora refused to transfer the employees' visas to the new Kuwaiti subcontractor and falsely accused the Americans of being "runaways and absconders," according to Charles Tolleson, president of Global Linguist Solutions. His company has barred workers from leaving the bases since May 31 to protect them from arrest and imprisonment.
"My biggest concern is the safety and security of my employees in Kuwait," he said.
One of the employees, who contacted FoxNews.com Tuesday morning from Camp Buehring, said, "If we leave the base, we could be arrested by the Kuwaiti authorities, jailed or deported."

We cannot see the doctor even for an emergency," said the woman, who asked that her name not be used. "Everybody here is under stress because a lot of us here need to go home. Our families are worried about us. We need to see our kids... We don’t see any hope. We’re dealing with a corrupt company in Kuwait that has fabricated charges against us."
She said the Al Shora's managing director "cancelled all of our visas here, so we became illegal."
Camp Buehring is in the Kuwaiti desert, about 25 miles south of the Iraqi border. Other employees of Global Linguistics are similarly stuck at Camp Arifjan, another U.S. Army base inside Kuwait.
Al Shora is demanding $22 million from Global Linguistics in order to transfer the employees' visas to the new company, Kuwaiti Resources House, sources said. Under Kuwaiti law, foreigners cannot work in the country unless they are under the sponsorship of a private Kuwaiti company

San Diego ( Police Detective 19 yrs with the Deptpartment hit in accident -By student driver )
SAN DIEGO — A San Diego police officer was recovering in a hospital Monday from severe injuries, including the partial loss of a leg, he suffered in an off-duty weekend motorcycle accident on an East County road.
Sex-crimes Detective James “Chappie” Hunter was riding to the east on Alpine Boulevard when a teenage student driver made a left turn directly in front of him near East Victoria Drive shortly after 7 p.m. Sunday, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The impact threw Hunter, 41, into the windshield of the girl’s car, breaking his left arm, severing his left leg below the knee and leaving him with internal injuries. Medics airlifted him to Sharp Memorial Hospital.
Longtime friend Chris Van Wagenen got the news shortly after the accident.
“The first thought that I had is you know he’s got to meet certain physical requirements to be a law enforcement officer,” said Van Wagenen. “So I’m still concerned about that. But the reality is he is a competitor. I’ve always known him to be that and so I’m not really worried. I know he’s going to pull through, but were just going to kind of help him out as he goes along.”
Hunter has been with the San Diego Police Department for 19 years and was formally in the SDPD sex trafficking unit, according to SDPD public affairs.
“He’s currently in the sex crimes unit,” said Van Wagenen. “He’s taught human trafficking classes. Very well respected amongst his peers.”
San Diego Police Officers were seen throughout the day at Sharp Memorial Hospital. Chief William Lansdowne was among those who visited.
A friend of the injured detective said Hunter competed in the Alpha Warrior course at Qualcomm Stadium on Saturday, stating that “he was in the best shape of his life.”
The San Diego Police Officers Association has set up a fund for anyone interested in donating to “Chappie” and his family.
It was unknown if the teen would face charges. The teen driver had her learner’s permit and was accompanied by her mother, CHP Officer Kevin Pearlstein said. He said the collision was under investigation and the final report was expected to be completed in a couple of weeks.

San Diego ( Feds Charge East coast man with abducting 14 boy - Internet crimes )
SAN DIEGO — An East Coast man who allegedly abducted a 14-year-old Escondido boy for sexual purposes last week will face federal prosecution in San Diego, officials announced Monday.
Tony McLeod, 36, was arrested in his hometown of Tampa, Fla., on Tuesday after he and the alleged victim arrived there on a flight from Southern California. The suspect remains in custody in that city as authorities decide where the case will be tried.
On Thursday, the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office charged McLeod in absentia with state charges of child abduction, meeting with a minor to commit a sex offense, enticement of a minor, contact with a minor to commit a felony and enticing a minor to produce child pornography.
The defendant also will face a federal count of enticement of a minor, according to the FBI. It was not immediately clear if all the allegations against McLeod would be merged into a single criminal case.
According to prosecutors, McLeod first contacted the teen last month via an Internet game, then exchanged texts with him and sent him photographs and a video of himself. The alleged nature of the online relationship prompted the youth’s parents to notify the Escondido Police Department in late May.
Last Monday, the boy’s family reported that he had failed to come home from school, EPD Lt. Neal Griffin said.
Investigators then determined that McLeod had traveled to California and allegedly “enticed the victim to leave Escondido with him,” Griffin said. Detectives alerted law enforcement in Tampa that McLeod and the boy were en route there on an airliner out of Los Angeles International Airport, the lieutenant said.
McLeod allegedly identified the boy to airline officials as “Justin McLeod,” apparently to give the impression that the teen was a relative.
