Brazil ( 18 yr old Woman Killed by Shark at Brazilian Beach )
BRASILIA – An 18-year-old woman who was attacked by a shark at a beach in the northeastern Brazilian city of Recife died from the serious injuries she received, authorities said Tuesday.
Bruna Silva Gobbi died in the hospital where she had been admitted in serious condition, although before her death doctors had amputated her left leg, which was almost torn off by the shark.
“She arrived at the hospital in very serious condition, with very serious and extensive injuries and it was very difficult to stop the loss of blood,” surgeon Maria Claudia Albuquerque, the head of the medical team that tried to save Gobbi’s life, said.
The attack occurred at Boa Viagem beach, in central Recife, the capital of Pernambuco state, which is the Brazilian coastal region with the greatest presence of sharks.
According to official statistics, 59 shark attacks have been registered at Pernambuco beaches since 1992 and 23 of them occurred at Boa Viagem.
In those 59 incidents, 24 people lost their lives, including Gobbi, who lived in Sao Paulo and was in Recife for several days of vacation. EFE

Arizona Game and Fish Department's Operation Game Thief program, which is offering the reward, says the deer was found Sunday near the Coolidge Airport.
The doe was shot twice with a small caliber firearm between 4:30 a.m. and 7:20 a.m. on the southeast side of the airport.
"Poachers are not hunters. They are thieves who steal wildlife from the citizens of Arizona," said Acting Regional Supervisor Brad Fulk of Game and Fish in Tucson. "Killing a doe is always illegal in Arizona, and that this one was close to giving birth and left to waste makes the case especially tragic."
Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Operation Game Thief at 800-352-0700, anonymously if need be and reference OGT #13-001986. Calls are accepted 24-hours-a-day, seven days a week.

Florida ( A man beaten over 10 dollars for some beer - has died ) Suspect booked for murder
Beaten over a beer in Keys, man dies in Miami hospital
A Keys man who was beaten up earlier this month following a disagreement about buying beer has died from his injuries at Ryder Trauma Center in Miami, and now the man who beat him could face a murder rap.
Jesus Rodriguez, 45, died from the July 7 beating, which the Monroe County Sheriff's Office says included being kicked in the head — all over $10 for beer. Arrested at the time was Charles Miller, 42, also of Stock Island, who was charged with aggravated battery.
Chief Assistant State Attorney Manny Madruga said that "we're waiting on the autopsy reports" before deciding whether to increase the charge to homicide.
Following Miller's arrest, Monroe Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Becky Herrin said Miller told detectives he gave a woman he didn't know the $10 to buy beer from the Tom Thumb convenience store on Maloney Avenue. She returned empty handed.
Miller asked her for his money back. Instead, she "ran over to Rodriguez, who was on a bike. Rodriguez then reportedly got off the bike and the two men started fighting."
Witnesses said Miller knocked Rodriguez to the ground and kicked him “in the face before fleeing."
Deputies found Miller hiding beneath a building in the Coral Hammock condominium complex a few blocks off U.S. 1.
Miller is being held at the Monroe County Detention Center with no bond allowed.

New York ( New York City mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner admitted on tuesday to sending more photo's to another woman )
NEW YORK -- New York City mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner admitted on Tuesday to sending additional explicit photos and texts to a woman he met online — correspondence she says began months after he resigned from Congress for similar behavior.
The allegation could severely test voters' willingness to forgive Weiner, who has said he spent the two years since the scandal trying to make things right with his wife and earn redemption.
Weiner, who resigned his House seat in June 2011 after acknowledging having sexual conversations with at least a half-dozen women, has been near the top of most mayoral polls since his late entry into the race this spring.
"I said that other texts and photos were likely to come out and today they have," said Weiner in a statement released by his campaign. "I want to again say that I am very sorry to anyone who was on the receiving end of these messages and the disruption this has caused."
Weiner did not say when the newly revealed exchanges occurred, but he said his behavior created "challenges in our marriage that extended past my resignation."
The new lewd correspondence was posted Monday by the gossip website The Dirty. The woman involved was not identified.
