An Illinois man has been charged with multiple felonies after killing one man and injuring two others over beer money.
According to reports, Gumaro Torres, 31, was drinking with co-workers in a Chicago yard over the weekend when the group pooled their money to buy more alcohol. When the person who bought it returned, however, Torres became angry he did not receive any change.
Torres continued to drink, but after a verbal argument went home to retrieve a handgun. He then returned to the yard and opened fire after he complained about the money and was laughed at.
Jose de LaFuente was believed to have been shot multiple times, as well as another man. A third man was finally able to subdue Torres, but only after being pistol-whipped multiple times himself.
De LaFuente died as a result of a bullet wound to the abdomen, while the second man was said to be in critical condition.
Torres has been charged with three felonies: first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

A young man by the name of Luis Flores was arrested along with his roommate for stealing a number of celebrities’ identities.
Ashton Kutcher, Paris Hilton, Kris Jenner, and Kim Kardashian were among Flores’ victims.
The 19-year-old and was arrested by U.S. Secret Service agents in Lake Mary, Florida along with his roommate Kyah Green, 41.
According to investigators, Flores had convinced American Express to change the Social Security numbers associated with the celebrity accounts and issue him new credit cards.
A flash drive with celebrity phone numbers was also found in the duo’s apartment, and contained the contact information of Bill Gates, First Lady Michelle Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, FBI Director Robert Mueller, and others.
Flores reportedly had $70,000 transferred from Kris Jenner’s account to his.

Bodies of nine people gagged, handcuffed, blindfolded and with the coup de grace, were located the early hours on the side of the road North Division-Punta de Agua.  Reportedly the bodies were dumped by the Knights Templar, ” Mireles said the killings have occurred between 9:30 and 10:00 pm yesterday, because at that time were seen about 30 trucks around the North Division to La Ruana, and on the the stretch Iron Bridge around 01:30 in the morning when it was reported that the bodies were found. . . indicated that the victims are unidentified as yet.

Lockheed Martin officials said Lt. Col. Russell Clift performed the maneuver Aug. 14 during Ship Suitability Sea Trials, also known as Developmental Test Phase Two.

The tests were performed on the Marine variant of the F-35, which will also be used by the United Kingdom and Italy.

The two F-35Bs participating in the trials have completed 40 short takeoffs and 41 vertical landings. Lockheed said at the end of the operations the Navy and Marine Corps will have enough data to begin the process of incorporating the aircraft into shipboard operations.

Lockheed said it expects the F-35Bs to reach initial operating capability in 2015.

The government expects to spend about a trillion dollars on the F-35 program in general over the next 50 years.

A Palestinian has been killed in a shoot-out with Israeli troops on a raid to arrest a militant in the northern West Bank, the Israeli military says.

The military said soldiers were attacked as they went to detain the suspect in the city of Jenin.

Two Palestinians and two soldiers were wounded in the confrontation, the military said.

Afterwards, locals held angry protests against Israel and the Palestinian Authority, Reuters news agency said.

Israel and the Palestinians resumed peace talks earlier this month after a three-year hiatus.

Mexico ( Teachers Stage Violent Protest at Mexican Congress - They clash with police )

 
MEXICO CITY – A group of teachers opposed to educational reforms clashed with police and engaged in acts of vandalism at the seat of Congress in Mexico City, leaving about a dozen educators and officers injured, officials said Tuesday.

The incident occurred Monday night at the San Lazaro Palace.

The teachers should “change their attitude and work for dialogue to reach an understanding, harmony and agreements,” the lower house of Congress said in a statement.

The clashes started just after 9:00 p.m. Monday when some of the approximately 2,000 CNTE teachers union members who had gathered outside the building slipped inside, a Federal District Public Safety Secretariat spokesman told Efe.

“There was aggression” on the part of the teachers, the police spokesman said.

Several protesters made it to the basement parking garage, where they vandalized vehicles and fought with the Federal Police officers responsible for security inside the building.

“Blows were exchanged with the security detail,” the police spokesman said, adding that officers posted outside the building prevented other demonstrators from entering.

The lower house’s Education Committee is debating legal changes that would open the way for implementation of the constitutional reforms promulgated on Feb. 25.

Lawmakers approved changes to the General Professional Teaching Service Law, the National Institute for the Evaluation of Education Law and reforms of the General Education Law.

The education agenda will be taken up by the special session of the Chamber of Deputies that begins Wednesday and runs until Friday. EFE
