Maldives ( Arson Attack caught on Video - TV news Station - Security Guard stabbed )

TV station attacked in Maldives

New York, October 7, 2013--Authorities in the Maldives should conduct a thorough and efficient investigation into an arson attack on the offices of a TV news station in Male, the capital, the Committee to Protect Journalists said today.
At least six masked men broke in to the offices of pro-opposition news channel Raajje TV early today and used gasoline to set the studio on fire, according to CCTV footage released by Raajje TV and news reports. All broadcast equipment, transmission equipment, and computer systems were completely destroyed in the fire, according to Raajje TV. The station borrowed equipment and was able to restore limited service, according to a tweet by Raajje TV and news reports.
The assailants also stabbed a security guard, who was hospitalized and is in critical condition, according to news reports. No arrests have been made in connection with the attack, according to local reports.

A man in his 30s was killed after being shot in the head during the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi in Venustiano Carranza , his murderer was beaten and arrested.

The crime was recorded during the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi, which was attended by about 500 people, Topaz Street Alley Tultengo corner , Paulino Navarro colony where Naphtali Edgar Vargas Aguilar .
The victim was killed by a bullet to the head after a battle between two groups of participants. The alleged attacker was taken to the  Xoco hospital where he was reported as stable. ( After beat down)

TUCSON Az ( Nigerian Man arrested for attempting to ship firearms to Nigeria )

TUCSON- A Tucson resident is under arrest for allegedly trying to ship firearms to Nigeria through UPS.
According to an ATF spokesperson, agents served a search warrant at home in the 8900 block of East 35th Circle, Friday afternoon.
Neighbors we spoke with said agents were at the house for over five hours, searching the home and vehicles, removing multiple bags in the process.
The alleged suspect will be arraigned in Federal Court Monday.

Colombia ( Four Gunned Down on Soccer Field in Colombia )


BOGOTA – Four youths about to play a soccer match in a northern Colombian town were slain by gunmen on motorcycles, the media said.

The crime was perpetrated Thursday in a rural area of San Carlos, a town in Cordoba province, the daily El Tiempo said on its Web site.

Witnesses cited by the newspaper said the armed men raced their motorcycles onto the playing field and started shooting indiscriminately at the players of one team.

Three of the youths died at the scene and another expired while being taken to hospital.

Students who were watching the match along with the rest of spectators panicked and ran to find safety in nearby homes.

Police, who arrived minutes after the shooting, immediately began investigating the case.
