New images circulating on the web show the shootout between a group of cartel members and police in the municipality left three dead. Those killed included the Public Safety supervisor Ruben Landeros Gerardo Roo.

The gunfire lasted over three hours and to control the situation it was necessary for elements of the Commissioner of Public Safety of the State to respond with armored units. The attorney general, Luis Carlos Najera Gutierrez de Velasco, moved to the site where he oversaw the area and the care of the wounded.
Near the shooting occurred there is a school of the Center for Science and Technology of Jalisco, where about 300 students had to hide from the gunfire.
