Residents of the central Mexican town of Huehuetoca attacked and burned the city hall of that municipality early Saturday, hours after a 14-year-old youth was killed by gunshots allegedly fired by municipal police, local media reported Saturday.
When questioned by Efe, neither the Mexico state Attorney General’s Office, nor the State Security Agency, nor ASE, provided any details of what happened, which in turn led to an investigation that is now underway.
Local media said in their online editions that in the early hours Saturday, at around 2:00 a.m., a fight among young people at a dance in the town brought municipal agents on the scene to try and arrest the culprits.
The local cops apparently fired on the youths, killing one unidentified 14-year-old and wounding another person age 34.
After the shooting, locals set fire to the town hall, overturned two patrol cars and seized several cops and tried to lynch them.
The daily El Universal said that some 400 people clashed with police and that some government offices were burned.
State police agents arrested “three individuals for their presumed responsibility for the death of the minor,” the daily Reforma said, but state authorities have not confirmed the story.
Located north of Mexico City, the municipality is in the Valley of Mexico and has around 100,000 inhabitants.

Sahara Desert ( 92 migrants found dead after their vehicles broke down )

Stranded in the unforgiving expanses of Niger's Sahara Desert after their vehicles broke down, scores of people, almost all of them women and children, slowly died of thirst.
The migrants had been trying to reach Algeria, Azaoua Mahaman of the Synergie nongovernmental organization said Thursday.

Men cover the bodies of the migrants. Ninety-two bodies have been found, Niger security forces said Thursday. Most of the victims were women and children.
Instead, they died of dehydration, unable to escape the sandy wastes of the Sahel.
A total of 92 bodies have been found, Niger security forces told CNN on Thursday. Synergie earlier put the number found at 87.
Many of the bodies were severely decomposed and appeared to have been partially eaten by animals.
The travelers were hoping to find a better life for themselves in Algeria, trying to escape the extreme poverty and economic hardships in Niger, said Mahaman.
Their story is the latest tragedy to befall migrants trying to leave behind a woeful existence for opportunities elsewhere.
Others who have survived the arduous journey from sub-Saharan Africa to the continent's northern shores have drowned as they tried to cross the Mediterranean in overcrowded boats, with Europe in their sights.

URGENT ACTION JAILED BLOGGER DENIED ADEQUATE MEDICAL CARE Iranian blogger Mohammad Reza Pourshajari, also known by his pen name of Siamak Mehr, is in urgent need of medical care that he cannot obtain in prison. He is serving a four-year sentence in Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj, north-west of Tehran. Mohammad Reza Pourshajari, aged 53, has suffered two heart attacks in prison, in September 2012 and again in February 2013, after which the authorities moved him to a hospital outside the prison for five days. The Iranian authorities have denied him medical leave to receive the medical treatment he needs, including treatment for blockage in his arteries, against the advice of prison doctors. Mohammad Reza Pourshajari’s daughter, Mitra Pourshajari, has told Amnesty International that the doctors in the medical facility attached to the prison have also diagnosed her father as having high blood sugar, though the prison administration told him they will no longer provide his medicine. The Iranian authorities have pressured Mohammad Reza Pourshajari at least once, on or about 14 September 2013, to ask for a pardon from the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Sayed ‘Ali Khamenei, for his “crimes”. He refused to do so, saying he had not committed any act that would require him to seek a pardon. Mohammad Reza Pourshajari is serving four years in prison after he was convicted of the vaguely worded charges of “insulting Islamic sanctities”, “insulting the Leader” and “acting against national security” in relation to his blog postings which are critical of the religious and political establishment.

Colorado ( Child abduction suspect arrested who attempted to take 8 yr old Girl )

Aurora police arrested a man they suspect kidnapped an 8-year-old girl from her bedroom on Monday.

John Stanley Snorsky.

John Stanley Snorsky, 26, of Aurora has been charged with first- and second-degree burglary and second-degree kidnapping, according to Aurora police.
Snorsky was arrested on Tuesday morning in Aurora. Aurora officers worked with the assistance of the Colorado Department of Corrections Division of Adult Parole for an investigative parole hold on an unrelated case concerning Snorsky, police said.
He is being held on a $500,000 bond.
Snorsky has a lengthy criminal history, including armed burglaries and violent crimes with use of a weapon, according to records.
Officers were called to a home in the 1600 block of Hanover Street at about 12:15 a.m. Monday. Police believe the suspect removed a screen, opened the unlocked window and grabbed the girl. Police said he likely saw the light in her room and had been watching her. The girl struggled and was able to escape his grasp. When her father tried to confront the suspect, he fled.
A reward of up to $20,000 — the most in the department's history — was being offered for tips that would lead to the arrest and successful prosecution of a suspect.
Police Chief Dan Oates will hold a press conference on Saturday at noon.
