As the woman yelled shit like “OMG baby, catch it“, the fisherman forced his other arm through fish’s gills and pulled it out of the water, battling it on the pier. Just as it started to look like the fish is bound to become supper, the fisherman stumbled on it, fell and the fish slipped back into the pond. Poor fish, annoying woman.

Message in front of Sonic Drive-In up for less than 10 minutes, but social media preserves offensive message

BELTON, MISSOURI — The sign in front of the Belton, Missouri Sonic Drive-In restaurant was up for less than a ten minutes on Sunday morning, but with the advent of social media, the image of the message went around the web like wildfire and drew the ire of American Indians across Indian country.
The sign read: “‘KC CHIEFS’ WILL SCALP THE REDSKINS FEED THEM WHISKEY SEND – 2 – RESERVATION.”
The Sonic message board sign was put up by an employee of the Sonic at the location nothing to do with any product sold at the restaurant. The Sonic Drive-in restaurant in Belton, Missouri is a franchise location.
“The sign was up for less than ten minutes, but with social media it will be around for a while,” commented Robert Stone to the Native News Online on Monday morning. Stone is the Sonic franchisee who owns and operates the Belton location. He owned the restaurant for the past 39 years.
“On Sundays, we give our employees freewill to put up football messages on the sign. This employee got carried away. It came down as soon as customers began to call in because they were offended,” continued Stone. “On behalf of the entire restaurant, I sincerely apologize and it will never happen again.”

HRANA News Agency – Esrafil Soltanian who suffers from paraplegia of both legs has gone on hunger strike in ward 209 of Evin prison.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Esrafil Soltanian has been arrested on charge of propaganda against the government through publishing illegal statement in Ashura and has to use wheelchair because of paraplegia of his both legs.

This political prisoner has told his family in a phone call on December 6th that he has gone on hunger strike in protest to the illegal arrest and the very bad condition of ward 209 for a handicapped person like him.

The intelligence agents have arrested him on December 1st in his work place and transferred him to the intelligence of Golestan and his case is in the general court of Islam Shahr headed by judge Hassan Zadeh.

Honduras ( Press Group Denounces Murder of Honduran Reporter )

PARIS – Reporters Without Borders on Monday denounced the murder of Honduran reporter Juan Carlos Argeñal, whose death raises to three the number of journalists killed in Honduras so far this year.

Argeñal, a correspondent for Honduras’ Globo Radio and TV, had received serious threats of bodily harm after uncovering a case of corruption at a local hospital, and he was gunned down outside his home last Saturday.

The other two reporters killed this year also worked for or collaborated with Globo Radio and TV, the Paris-based press freedom watchdog pointed out.

“Globo is one of the few national broadcasters to criticize the June 2009 coup d’état,” Reporters Without Borders, known by the French initials RSF, said in a statement.

Globo’s “staff and reporters in the field have paid a high price for this for the past four years. It has included military occupation of their premises, confiscation of their equipment and targeted murders. The mere fact of working for Globo exposed Argeñal to danger,” RSF said.

Two-thirds of the 38 reporters slain in Honduras over the past 10 years have been killed since the coup that toppled President Mel Zelaya, RSF said.

“Given the almost complete collapse of the rule of law, will this latest murder remain unpunished like nearly all the others? Does it signal the start of a new crackdown at a time when the country’s future seems more uncertain than ever?” RSF said.

Honduras, the most dangerous country in the world, remains unsettled after the Nov. 24 presidential election.

While authorities say ruling party candidate Juan Orlando Hernandez won, Zelaya’s Libre party has cried fraud, insisting that former first lady Xiomara Castro garnered the most votes.
