Mexico ( The killing of " Women " continues in Mexico )

Matamoros, Coahuila -. A young woman was killed and her body was located Sunday at noon south of town on the side of the road.



The body, with multiple stab wounds, had lower garments down in the inner most part to humiliate her, It was on a dirt road south of the city, near the terminus of the Red Bus La Laguna.

Spokesmen for the State Attorney's Office today reported that the deceased is not identified and described some 25 years old, fair complexion, white skin, with dyed red hair.

Yemen ( Japanese Diplomat " stabbed in an attempt kidnapping " by Embassy )

SANA’A – A Japanese diplomat was wounded on the weekend in this capital when he was attacked by armed men, an official with the Japanese Embassy said.

The official said that, for the moment, it is not known if the attack was a kidnapping attempt or a robbery, but the hypothesis investigators are working with is that it was the former.

The victim, the second secretary of the Japanese delegation, was driving with his Yemeni assistant when armed men stopped their vehicle and stabbed him.

The attack occurred in the Hadda neighborhood in the southern part of the capital, where the majority of embassies are located, including Japan’s.

The diplomat was admitted to a local hospital but no report has been released yet on his condition.

Attacks on foreigners have increased in recent months in Yemen, where recently a Belarusian military instructor and a security official with the German Embassy were murdered.

Kidnappings of foreigners, including diplomats, are also frequent occurrences here, many of them staged by tribal or terrorist groups like Al Qaeda, who use the hostages to exert pressure on the authorities to respond to their demands.

Argentina ( 9 cops arrested for " Looting or extorting " Shop owners )

BUENOS AIRES – Nine law-enforcement officers were arrested Saturday in the northern Argentine province of Tucuman for their alleged role in looting that occurred amid a police strike, judicial officials said.

The police are accused of collaborating in or instigating the looting of commercial establishments in Tucuman on Monday and Tuesday while officers were on strike to press demands for pay hikes, the official Telam news agency reported.

Tucuman was one of the Argentine provinces affected in recent days by police job actions and violent disturbances that left 11 dead nationwide.

Order was gradually restored after officers were granted pay hikes of up to 50 percent. In the case of Tucuman, police received a salary increase of 35 percent.

Federal and provincial courts now are investigating the possible role of police in the wave of looting that occurred.

Tucuman’s provincial government has filed a criminal complaint for sedition against police, accusing them of adopting an illegal form of protest.

Fifty civilians also have been arrested in Tucuman for looting, while authorities have conducted scores of raids in search of stolen merchandise.

On Thursday, Argentina’s government called for a thorough investigation into the deadly disturbances.

“The full weight of the law must fall not only on the perpetrators (of the looting) but also the intellectual authors,” Cabinet chief Jorge Capitanich, who met Thursday with members of the Supreme Court, told reporters.

A “profound debate” is needed on police reform because the country cannot be “at the mercy of groups that seize other people’s property or use extortion to press salary demands,” he added.

“A deliberate action of this nature cannot be carried out in isolation. The modus operandi makes us believe this was a strategy that merits an investigation by the judiciary,” Capitanich said.

Colombia ( Police Chief " Killed by sniper " in La Vega )

BOGOTA – The police precinct chief in a town in southwestern Colombia was murdered by an unidentified assailant who shot him in the head, officials said.

Juan Carlos Guerrero Medina was killed in La Vega, a town in strife-torn Cauca province, on Saturday.

The 43-year-old officer, who was the father of two children, was on duty when he was killed.

“It was a shot from a sniper,” La Vega police inspector Ciro Manzano told reporters.

The municipal government ordered a curfew in La Vega after Guerrero Medina’s killing and boosted police patrols.

Mexico ( 11 killed over " Land dispute " 3 children died )

 Elements of the state police found the bodies of 11 members of a family, including three children , dead and burned inside and out of a van in the place Tres Cruces, the municipality of San Juan Mixtepec in the Mixteca region area characterized by a long-standing land dispute , one of the main research lines of the crime.


 The Public Security Secretariat (SSP ) reported that yesterday morning found the burned vehicle abandoned in the road stretch that leads to the city of Tlaxiaco.

 Upon inspection of the truck, Suburban model with U.S. plates , found the bodies of five women , five men and another, Adam Joseph Ventura , 22 , on one side of the unit, with a good gun in his head.

 The victims are identified as Martha José González , 29 , Armando José González , four ; Pedro Morales Joseph , 43 ; Bartolo Ventura Chavez, 74; rutila Jose Ventura , 42 ; Sixto Santiago José , 21 , Carlos Manuel Joseph, seven , Jasmine Santiago José , six ; Basilica Antonio Santiago , 38 , and Bernabe Garcia Hernandez , 44 years old, all from Santo Domingo Yosoñama.delito occurred in the stretch of highway that connects Santo Domingo with Mixtepec Yosoñama , faced more than 60 years ago by a land conflict .

 At the scene the attorney general , Joaquín Ruiz Carrillo , came to supervise the work of the team of the State Bureau of Investigation , who conducted the survey of bodies.

   Tom Laughlin, Star of ‘Billy Jack,’ Dead at 82

Filmmaker Tom Laughlin, who shot to fame as the rugged half-breed action hero “Billy Jack,” died Thursday in Thousand Oaks, Calif., surrounded by his family.  He was 82 years old.

While involved at one point with just about every facet of the film business, Laughlin may be best known for his series of “Billy Jack” films. He has been married to Delores Taylor since 1954, and she co-produced and acted in all four of the “Billy Jack” movies.

In addition to acting, he was a producer, director and screenwriter, and drew attention for a groundbreaking promotion and release campaign on 1974′s “The Trial of Billy Jack” that included TV trailers during national news and an “opening day” nationwide release that helped shape the future of film distribution.
