Taliban beheaded a women's volleyball player

 MONSTER Taliban militants beheaded a women’s volleyball player and posted photos of her decapitated head on social media, the victim’s coach said.

The coach from the all-girls team confirmed that Mahjabin Hakimi was slaughtered by the Taliban earlier this month.

According to the Persian Independent, the gruesome death went public only recently because insurgents threatened the girl’s family not to tell anyone about what happened.

It was when pictures of what appeared to be the Mahjabin’s severed head were published on social media that her coach decided to speak out.

“All the players of the volleyball team and the rest of the women athletes are in a bad situation and in despair and fear,” the coach said.

Iran hacked US and Israeli defense tech companies - Microsoft

The hacking "likely supports the national interests of the Islamic Republic of Iran," Microsoft said.The Microsoft Threat Intelligence Center (MSTIC) 

announced on Monday that Iranian hackers successfully targeted US and Israeli defense   technology companies.

More than 250 Microsft Office 365 accounts linked to the US, EU and the Israeli government were hacked into through extensive password spraying.

In addition, Persian Gulf ports of entry and global maritime transportation companies with business presence in the Middle East were also targeted.

The hacking "likely supports the national interests of the Islamic Republic of Iran," Microsoft said.

The companies hacked included defense companies that support US, EU, and Israeli government partners producing military-grade radars, drone technology, satellite systems, and emergency response communication systems.

Microsoft assessed that Iran's targeting of these defense tech companies "supports Iranian government tracking of adversary security services and maritime shipping in the Middle East."

The commanding officer of the Israel Police’s northern district said Thursday that the Arab community is “responsible for 99 percent of murders and shootings” in the north, as Arab communal violence has continued to spiral out of control.

Shimon Lavi, speaking at a conference on how to develop the Galilee, said that in northern Israel there are some 1.3 million citizens, of which half are Arab.

“That 50% are responsible for 99% of the murder incidents, 99% of the shooting incidents, 65% of the arson incidents, and 80% of the robbery incidents,” Lavi said according to the Haaretz daily. The figures could not be independently verified.

COVID-19 statistics released

 MOBILE, AL. (WPMI) — Alabama has surpassed 15,000 COVID-19 deaths.

These latest numbers prove the pandemic is far from over.
