Man calls police to report dumping a body 2 years ago

KUMAMOTO —

Police in Kumamoto said Tuesday they received a call from a man who claimed to have illegally disposed of a corpse two years earlier.
The man, who has been named as 59-year-old Koichi Koga accompanied police to a garage on company premises in Mashiki on Monday, TBS reported. After digging for some time, police finally uncovered the skeletal remains at around 8:30 p.m.
During police questioning, Koga was quoted as saying that the remains were those of a woman with whom he had been living. He told officers she had become sick and passed away two years ago, following which he had buried her remains under the company car port.
Police say they are attempting to identify the remains and will continue to investigate Koga’s claims

UK Daily Mail (h/t Maria J) It is thought that the two men waited around for 20 minutes until police arrived and then tried to attack them – but were swiftly shot by armed officers. Eyewitnesses said the ‘crazed’ men, aged in their 20s, launched a ferocious attack and were ‘hacking at him, chopping him, cutting him.’

Luke Huseyin, 32, who lives in a block of flats on John Wilson Street, Woolwich, close to where the incident happened said he watched two men murder a man before being shot.

‘It was a blue Vauxhall. Then two black guys got out of the car dragging a white guy across the road towards the wall. One of the guys had a knife that looked about a foot long and a machete and the other bloke had a gun. ’They started slashing him up with the knife and hitting him in the stomach with the machete. I don’t think it took long before he was dead. There were people passing by who were screaming and running away. I’ve never seen anything like it.

This afternoon the area’s MP, Nick Raynsford, told BBC Radio 5 Live he believed the victim, a man aged in his 20s, was a serving soldier. The man is believed to have been hacked to death after a car crash. The scene of the attack is just 200 yards from Woolwich Barracks.

Prime Minister David Cameron confirmed that he had asked the Home Secretary Theresa May to chair a meeting of Cobra, the government’s emergency committee and that she had requested updates from MI5 and the Metropolitan Police and the government were treating the incident as suspected terrorist attack.

Witnesses said a man was assaulted on John Wilson Street in Woolwich by two men who were then shot by armed police officers.

Mob Kills 2 Suspected Thieves in Southern Mexico

MEXICO CITY – Two suspected thieves were cornered and lynched in San Isidro la Reforma, a town in the southern Mexican state of Oaxaca, state prosecutors said Tuesday.

The incident occurred on Sunday, when residents mobilized to find two individuals who had allegedly robbed the drivers of pick-up trucks a day earlier on the La Esperanza-La Reforma highway.

“The town decided to get together” and go find the thieves, who were spotted in the community of La Reforma, the Oaxaca Attorney General’s Office said in a statement.

A shootout occurred and one of the suspects, identified as 34-year-old Hugo Rigoberto Garcia Cruz, was killed, the AG’s office said.

The other suspect, identified as 22-year-old Laro Riaño Osorio, was detained and locked up in the town jail.

A mob, however, stormed the jail early Monday, broke down the door and grabbed Riaño Osorio, the AG’s office said.

Riaño Osorio’s body was found a few hours later in Chipiles with bullet wounds in the back, right temple and arm, prosecutors said.

Residents sometimes take the law into their own hands in Mexico, claiming they do not trust police and are fed up with the high crime rate.

Vigilante groups have appeared in recent months in several Mexican states, with the largest number being reported in the southern state of Guerrero and the western state of Michoacan. EFE

FBI News ( Chechen-born man - Shot and killed by FBI Agent ) Murder suspect

Ibragim Todashev (Orlando Police Dept.)

An unidentified FBI agent shot and killed a man in Orlando, Fla., early Wednesday after questioning him about his link to the Boston Marathon bombing suspects.
Dave Couvertier, a special agent and spokesman for the FBI's Tampa field office, told Yahoo News that the shooting is under investigation. He identified the man as Ibragim Todashev, a 27-year-old Chechen-born Orlando resident and apparent acquaintance of Tamerlan Tsarnaev and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the brothers suspected of planning and carrying out the terror attack at last month's Boston Marathon.
The shooting occurred just after midnight at an apartment complex in Orlando, Couvertier said. "The agent encountered the suspect while conducting official duties," the agent said. "An FBI post-shooting incident review team has been dispatched from Washington, D.C., and expected to arrive in Orlando within 24 hours."
FBI spokesman Paul Bresson told the Associated Press that Todashev "was fatally shot when he initiated a violent confrontation." The FBI agent, Bresson said, "acted on an imminent threat and shot Todashev." The FBI agent was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Khusen Taramov, a friend of Todashev, told local television reporters that he and Todashev were interviewed by the FBI for three hours on Tuesday.
"They were talking to us," Taramov told WESH-TV. "And they said they need him for a little more, for a couple more hours, and I left, and they told me they’re going to bring him back. They never brought him back. ... He felt inside he was going to get shot. I told him, 'Everything is going to be fine, don't worry about it.' He said, 'I have a really bad feeling.'"
Todashev met Tamerlan Tsarnaev in Boston while competing in mixed martial arts, Taramov said.
"They met a few times because [Todashev] was an MMA fighter and [Tsarnaev] was a boxer," Taramov told WKMG-TV. "They just knew each other. That’s it."
Taramov said that Todashev had planned to travel back to Chechnya. "He had a [plane] ticket to New York," Taramov said. "From there, he was going to go home. [The FBI was] pushing him to stay, saying, ‘We want to interview you one last time.'"
According to the Orlando Sun Sentinel, Todashev was arrested earlier this month on aggravated assault charges:
In that incident, Todashev told deputies he got in a fight with a man over a parking space at the Orlando Premuium Outlet mall and "was only fighting to protect his knee because he had surgery in March," according to the arrest report.
The Sheriff's office report says that two men were fighting and one—later identified as Todashev—was leaving the scene in a vehicle, while the other was on the ground, appeared unconscious, and surrounded by "a considerable amount of blood."
Deputies pursued Todashev, pulled him over and ordered him out of his car at gunpoint, according to the report. The victim, who had a split upper lip and "several teeth knocked out of place," did not want to press charges, according to the report.
Four days after the bombings, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, was killed in a late-night shootout with police in Watertown, Mass. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19, was later arrested and charged in connection with the bombings, which left three people dead and wounded 275.
