The drug shipment of more than 1,200 pounds was discovered during a naval operation in the Bahia Solano municipality in the northwestern Choco department. Authorities deemed that the cocaine was of high purity, according to El Espectador.
In the same operation troops located a nearby camp, where it is believed the drug traffickers had lived. The camp had the capacity to accommodate up to eight people. Also found were a shotgun, six cartridges, 350 pounds of food and a briefcase containing personal documents.

Wife pours boiling water on cheating husband's genitals

After learning of her husband's infidelity, a Colombian woman decided to take matters into her own hands by dumping a pot of boiling water over her spouse's genitals.
According to eyewitness accounts from local residents, the outraged Yolivel Lopez initially kept her cool after her husband, Nefer Netan, arrived home late on Tuesday night with a few drinks. Unaware of any problems, or the fate that awaited him, Netan soon went to bed with his wife, falling asleep beside her.
It was at this point that Lopez chose to exact her revenge.
Jumping out of bed, Lopez entered the kitchen where she methodically filled a large pot with water, placed it on the stove, and patiently waited for it to boil. When the water had reached boiling point, Lopez calmly carried the pot back into the bedroom and emptied the scalding-hot contents directly onto her husband's unfortunate genitals.
The tortured scream of agony that then issued forth from the man's lungs reportedly ripped the couple's neighbours from their slumber.
Netan was taken to a local hospital to receive treatment but, according to local reports, his penis has been utterly destroyed.
The incident allegedly occurred after Lopez had received a call from her husband's mistress. In the call the mistress said that Netan loved her more, and that they had just had sex.
Residents report that since the incident occurred, there has been no sign of anyone occupying the house.

LA Fitness News ( Trainer charged with murder of 80 yr old man )

An LA Fitness personal trainer was jailed in Palm Beach County Friday, after being arrested in Texas last week and charged with murder and robbery for the violent beating of two Boca Town Center shoppers police say he followed to their home.
One of the victims, 80-year-old Albert Honigman, died two days after the attack, which happened in the victims' garage in the 7000 block of Ashford Lane.
Kareem Andre Williams, 25, of 4541 Emerald Vista in Lake Worth was jailed in Palm Beach County just after midnight. He had been arrested by U.S. Marshalls in Harris County, Texas, near Houston, on Feb. 6.
Through an investigation of cellphone records, highway traffic cameras and other evidence, Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office deputies linked the crime to Williams, who has an extensive criminal background.
According to a Sheriff's Office report, deputies responded to Ashford Lane at 8:50 p.m. Jan. 11 to investigate a residential burglary and battery.
Honigman's daughter, Lauren Kanoff, told deputies that shortly after arriving home from the mall with her father, they got out of their car in the garage and were immediately attacked by a man. Her father was attacked first and he fell to the garage floor, hitting his head.
The assailant then turned to Kanoff, robbed her and beat her and then fled in a silver car, taking with him a $26,000 Rolex Presidential men's watch and a $35,000 pear-shaped diamond woman's ring and a $2,500 woman's necklace.
Deputies returned to the home at 8:23 p.m. Jan. 13 after Honigman died in his sleep and his death was attributed to injuries he suffered in the violent robbery two nights before.
Investigators developed Williams as a suspect by viewing traffic cameras showing the victims' car being followed from the mall by a silver Chevrolet Camaro, with a tag registered to Williams and his uncle. Police contacted his uncle on Jan. 16, who said he co-signed the car loan for the suspect on Dec. 1.
Other evidence detectives gathered includes mall surveillance video and cellphone records. Also, the surviving victim identified Williams as the attacker in a photo lineup.
Police interviewed a friend of Williams' on Jan. 18, who said Williams told her he "was involved in a serious situation, however, nobody died."
A friend told investigators that on Jan. 18, Williams had asked to park his car behind his home, which he allowed. Later, the car had to be moved to the front and Williams asked that the tag be removed. The next day, Williams asked him to drive him to Tallahassee, which the man told police was unusual behavior for Williams.
Police found the car in West Palm Beach, where the resident said Williams had sold him the car for $18,000 on Jan. 18, but had not provided the title.
The Sheriff's Office reports Williams has an extensive criminal background and was released from prison in 2011 after conviction on armed burglary and firearms offenses.
Williams remains in the Palm Beach County Jail without bail.

GNC news ( Man dies after taking Jack3d - DMAA- nasal decongestant )

On the morning of June 1, 2011, Michael L. Sparling took the recommended dose of the workout booster Jack3d before doing a drill with his Army unit.
During the workout Sparling collapsed, and several hours later he died at a hospital of respiratory failure and cardiac arrest.
Sparling had purchased the Jack3d in a GNC store at Fort Bliss in El Paso. Despite a warning issued by the FDA in April 2012, the powder is still available in GNC stores across the country as well as online.

Now, Sparling's parents are suing GNC as well as USPlabs, the developer and marketer of Jack3d. The Sparlings are claiming that GNC and USPlabs misleadingly marketed Jack3d and did not warn consumers about its potential health risks.
A stimulant contained in Jack3d, dimethylamylamine (DMAA), has been linked to several deaths recently. In 2011, DMAA was identified in the toxicology reports of two soldiers’ deaths. It was also found in the body of Claire Squires, a British woman who died while running the London Marathon in 2012. Jack3d has since been banned in England.
Products containing DMAA, like Jack3d and OxyElite Pro, are commonly marketed as workout boosters. But in its warning letter last April, the FDA noted that firms that produce these supplements have failed to demonstrate the safety of their key ingredient, DMAA.
At the time of the letter, a spokesman for GNC said the company disagreed with the FDA's conclusion and was "unaware of any scientific or medical evidence which calls the safety of DMAA into question."
The lack of DMAA regulation troubles many in the medical profession.

The Hamas government in Gaza on Friday condemned Bulgaria's expulsion of a delegation on its behalf that was visiting the country, the Bethlehem-based Ma’an news agency reported.
The terror group reportedly blamed Israeli pressure for Bulgaria’s move.
Bulgarian security forces on Friday raided the hotel rooms of a visiting Hamas delegation, ordering them to leave the country, a party statement quoted by Ma’an said.
"We condemn this act, which reflects the scale of compliance with Zionist pressures," Hamas spokesman Taher al-Nunu said, according to Ma’an.
Hamas leader and MP Yahya al-Abadseh said the Bulgarian government's actions were contrary to all diplomatic norms.
Parliament chairman Ahmad Bahar called for Bulgaria to offer a formal apology, saying the visiting deputies were protected by parliamentary immunity.
On Wednesday Hamas said that its delegation arrived in Bulgaria to meet with political officials from the European country.
The visit was lauded by Hamas as a sign that the terror group was being increasingly welcomed across Europe.
However, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry formally denied the news about the visit. A spokeswoman for the ministry that no Hamas visit had been planned and that no Bulgarian politicians and diplomats have been scheduled to meet Hamas officials.
Hamas is recognized as a terror organization by the European Union, of which Bulgaria is a member.
The PLO ambassador in Bulgaria, Ahmed Madbouh, told Ma'an on Friday he was informed by officials in the Bulgarian foreign ministry that they "regret" the presence of the Hamas delegation and took a decision to ask them to leave.
