Iran ( 4 Sunni men to be Executed - During trial they were blindfolded, beaten and shocked ) No lawyer ?

Four Sunni prisoners in danger of imminent execution

Posted on: 17th September, 2013

Hamed Ahmadi
HRANA News Agency – One of the Ghezel Hesar prison authorities informed four of Sunni prisoners that supposedly their execution verdict will be enforced on September 22.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), six of the Sunni prisoners who have been sentenced to death are imprisoned currently in unit 3 of ward 4 in Ghezel Hesar prison.

Sediq Mohammadi the son of Hossein, 27, and Seyyed Hadi Hosseini the son of Moheyeddin, 30, are two of the prisoners sentenced to death. Their dossiers have been sent to the court in Sanandaj for reconsideration because of contraventions found by bureau. Sediq Mohammadi and Seyyed Hadi Hosseini were arrested involved in other story and both of them have mental disorders.

Evidently one of the Ghezel Hesar prison authorities informed Hamed Ahmadi the son of Habibollah, 32, Kamal Molaie the son of Ahmad, 29, Jamshid Dehghani the son of Khodaraham, 28 and Jahangir Dehghani the son of Khodaraham, 27, that their execution verdict will be enforced on September 22 due to the judicial warrant.

One of the sentenced to death prisoners who asked to remain anonymous told HRANA reporter “One of the prison authorities told us if everything will go normally your execution verdict will be enforced on September 22 and it could be postponed to first two weeks of October. He asked us in a friendly way to do whatever possible action we could do from now.”

“Our trial session was held in branch 28 of Tehran revolutionary court by judge Moghayesseh while we are all from Sanandaj. During the trial we were blindfolded and the security agents beaten us several times by electric shocker while we were talking. We had no access to any lawyer during the process and even when a lawyer introduced himself to the court in terms of defending us, the security agents threatened him and he gave up. We were just preaching in the mosques. For a while some CDs were released which contained offensive content on Sunni Madhab followers and we objected this, Then they arrested us because of that and accused us to terror.”

“The terrors we have been accused to, were took place on September 9, 2009 while the date we were been arrested is clear. Jamshid and Jahangir Dehghani who are brothers were arrested on June 17, 2009, Kamal Molaie was arrested on July 14, 2009 and Hamed Mohammadi on July 30, 2009. When the terrors took place we were under arrest in Intelligence office, then howcome we have done the terrors? We were arrested with Bahram Ahmadi, Asghar Rahimi, Behnam Rahimi, Mohammad Zaher Bahmani, Kaivan Zand Karimi and Hoshiar Mohammadi; Six of them were hanged on December 27 of 2012 in Ghezel Hesar prison.

“The ten of us were under arrest in solitary confinement and under the most severe mental and physical tortures. We were in solitary confinements of Sanandaj Intelligence for nine months, six months in Zanjan Intelligence and five months in solitary confinements of intelligence in Evin. No one knew what we are going through then they treated us in any way they liked.”

He mentioned that they have not the right to get in touch with any normal prisoner and anyone who get in touch with them, will be transferred and in trouble.

His last words were “We are in danger of imminent execution and we will be hanged in a month eventually. We ask solidarity and support from all the human rights organizations and the free medias to achieve a fair trial with presence of lawyer and medias for us.”

PHOENIX Az ( Man arrested for branding his Name on Girlfriends genitals )

Chandler branding suspect also accused in bestiality cases

Posted: Sep 17, 2013 5:26 PM

PHOENIX (AP) - Authorities say a Chandler man already accused of branding his initials on a then-girlfriend's genitals now has been arrested on bestiality charges.

Maricopa County Sheriff's officials said Tuesday that 47-year-old Christopher Lynn Jackson is being held on a $30,000 bond.

They say a search of his home Monday by sheriff's investigators uncovered material implicating Jackson and two women in unseemly behavior with a dog.

Jackson was arrested Sept. 3 for aggravated assault in the branding case.

According to court papers, Jackson gave his then-girlfriend what he said were energy pills.

The woman says she then woke up with a pain between her legs and discovered that Jackson allegedly had branded "C'' and "J'' on her genitals.

Investigators say they later found a branding tool and butane torch in Jackson's house. (Copyright 2013 The Associated Press. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed.)

China ( Woman Survives 15 Days Trapped in Well in China )

BEIJING – A woman survived for 15 days after being trapped in an abandoned well in the central province of Henan, Chinese authorities reported Tuesday.

Su Qixiu, 38, was found in the well in the town of Zhongfeng about 4 p.m. on Monday after being stuck there for two weeks.

The well, about a meter (yard) in diameter and four meters (about 13 feet) deep, was hidden in a cornfield and its walls are too slippery to climb up.

The woman was found by a team of firefighters who were scouring the area after she disappeared 15 days ago “face up and surprisingly thin, but with her eyes very much open,” said Chen Kui, one of the rescuers.

Chen said that, when Su was found she could not move or speak, but suddenly she extended her hands. She did not have any serious injuries, but she still has not been able to eat any solid food or say anything, although she is in stable condition and is ingesting liquids.

The woman survived thanks to the raw corn she was carrying when she fell into the well, as well as the rains that provided her with enough water, her husband said.

She went missing Sept. 1 when she went to harvest some corn in the field. EFE

Syria ( United Nations Report "abundantly clear" that the Syrian Government was the Blame )

AFP - Britain welcomed Monday's United Nations report into last month's chemical weapons attack in Syria and said it was "abundantly clear" from the findings that Bashar al-Assad's regime was to blame.
"We welcome this objective and unequivocal report which confirms that chemical weapons were used on a large scale in the 21 August attack in Ghouta," Foreign Secretary William Hague said in a statement.

"From the wealth of technical detail in the report... it is abundantly clear that the Syrian regime is the only party that could have been responsible."
He urged all concerned parties to ensure that Syria's chemical weapons were secured and destroyed "in a verifiable manner without further delay."
The UN investigation team said in its report that it had "clear and convincing" evidence that sarin gas was used in the attack and that chemical weapons have been used on a "relatively large-scale" in the 30-month-old Syrian conflict.
The Security Council meeting came two days after Russia and the United States agreed a plan to destroy Syria's chemical arms within a year.
Hague said it was vital that the UN Security Council agreed on a resolution "that creates a binding commitment for the regime to give up its chemical weapons within a specific time frame and to credibly, reliably and promptly place them under international control for destruction.
"It is equally important that we ensure accountability for those responsible for using chemical weapons in Syria, as well as for those responsible for the many horrific war crimes and abuses being carried out there, particularly by the regime," he added.
The foreign minster vowed Britain would work with its partners, including Russia, to try and convene a second Geneva conference in order that a political solution be reached

Mexico's First Openly Gay Mayor says Fighting Cartels is a Priority
Sunday, September 15, 2013 |
The first openly gay mayor in Mexico's history has been sworn in at a ceremony in city of Fresnillo.

Benjamin Medrano said his sexuality only became an issue in the electoral campaign when the opposition tried to use it against him in conservative Zacatecas state.

The city has been caught up in a turf war between drug cartels operating in central and northern Mexico.

Mr Medrano says he hopes to make a difference for the people of Fresnillo. He posted a message on his Twitter account soon after the ceremony: "The time has come to listen to your demands and address your problems. I have a commitment with you."

Two of Mexico's biggest criminal organizations - Los Zetas and the Gulf Cartel - have been fighting for control of drug trafficking routes leading north towards the American border.

Mr Medrano said the fact that he has no involvement with criminal organisations would enable him to do a good job for the people of Fresnillo.

"What matters the least for the people is who you may sleep with, what you do in your private life. What they want is good results from their politicians," he told BBC Mundo.

Gay marriage
Mr Medrano comes from a very poor background in Zacatecas state. He went to the United States aged six, as part of an "artistic caravan."

He returned to Mexico after many years to finish school and to read law at university.  He began a professional career as a singer and opened Fresnillo's first gay nightclub.

A Roman Catholic in a very conservative part of Mexico, he says he has no intention of getting married.

He denied being against gay marriage, but hinted that what is acceptable in the capital, Mexico City, and other regions of the country may not be acceptable in Zacatecas.

"My agenda is based on achieving human and social development for all of us who live in Fresnillo, regardless of sexual orientation," he told BBC Mundo. Security is the main concern of the population of Fresnillo, a city of some 200,000 inhabitants.

Security is the main concern of the population of Fresnillo, a city of some 200,000 inhabitants. "First, we need to get our police better equipped and better trained, so they don't become accomplices of the criminal gangs," said Mr Medrano.

He was elected mayor for the centre-right Revolutionary Institutional Party (PRI) of President Enrique Pena Nieto, who took office in December promising to review the "war on drugs" policy of his predecessor.
