Two security guards were executed and one was seriously injured after a group of armed men gunned them down while they were patrolling a residential area known as Las Gaviotas in Acapulco, Guerrero, Mexico.
The guards were surprised by armed men who arrived in a luxury vehicle and quickly opened fire, guards were given little time to respond or run for safety. One of the guards, the youngest made a dash for it, but was chased and shot.
The three guards on duty were shot, but after the arrival of the Red Cross, one was found with vital signs and was taken to a hospital where he is hospitalized in critical condition.
He was 32 years old, Manuel Gutiérrez Galeana. Leon Gabino Martinez 55 and 25 years old Juan Carlos Alonso Helguera died instantly. The guards worked for a company called Segurimax.

There will be more security on the TTC next year but fewer officers endowed with the power to use force and detain suspected criminals, drunks or people with mental health issues. The FSS website
