Henderson Police were called Friday to the woman’s home in the 11000 block of South Eastern Avenue near Sunridge Heights Parkway about noon to check on her welfare because she had not shown up for work since Wednesday. Her sons, 10 and 16, also have not been showing up to school since then, police said.
Anyone with information about Navaro’s whereabouts is urged to call 911. He is not considered a suspect.
Officials have not released a cause of death for either the mother or her son. Neither have been identified.
There were no calls for service to the family’s apartment before a friend and a relative called for a welfare check, police said.
The deaths are the fifth and sixth slayings in Henderson this year.
Anyone with information about the case is urged to call the Henderson Police Department at (702) 267-4750 or, to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555 or visit crimestoppersofnv.com.
