MEXICO investigation ( Sellers of Lynching Video Under Investigation in Mexico ) WOW

SAN CRISTOBAL DE LAS CASAS, Mexico – An investigation has been opened into the sale of a video showing the lynching of three men in the southern Mexican state of Chiapas, officials said.

Domingo Gomez Castellanos, Diego Giron Mendez and Miguel Lopez Lunes were lynched for allegedly abusing and murdering Fidencia Santiz Lopez, an Indian woman who lived in San Cristobal de Las Casas, the Chiapas Attorney General’s Office said.

Citizens should avoid acquiring the video so that “they do not justify the crime,” the AG’s office said.

Police found the dead bodies of the woman and one of the men on June 5, the AG’s office said.

The other two men, who were still alive, were taken to a hospital, where they died a day later.

YouTube has been asked to remove the video of the lynching in the village of San Juan Chamula because it is “prohibited” material that “harms the investigation,” Chiapas Attorney General Raciel Lopez Salazar said.

Lynchings are common in Mexico, where people often take the law into their own hands, claiming they do not trust police and are fed up with the high crime rate. EFE
