PHOENIX Az ( Man drops off little girl at fire station -Said mother is not taking care of her ) See photo

PHOENIX -- Police are trying to identify a child who was left at a Phoenix fire station Wednesday night.
A black man, approximately 40-45 years old, walked up to the station near 200 E. Roeser with a black female child at about 8:30, according to a spokesman for the Phoenix Police Dept.
The man told firefighters the mother was not taking care of the child and walked away from the fire station leaving the young girl in their care.
The child is believed to be 4-5 years old.


Phoenix police detectives responded to the scene and have made every attempt to communicate with the child to determine her identity or the identity of her parents. Their attempts have been unsuccessful.
Detectives have not yet identified any family members or located any family at this time.
The Phoenix Police Department is asking anyone who may know this child or the child's family to please contact the Phoenix Police Department at 602-262-6141
