A group of fisherman out near the Dominican Republic managed to get an interesting “catch” on video.
On Thursday, Florida’s Bobby Jacobsen was out on his 62-foot boat, the Marlin Darlin, and was filming friends fishing.
With the camera rolling, Jacobsen captured his friend struggling to reel in a catch. The fish was a 350-lb blue marlin, and as the man struggled, the massive fish jumped into the boat.
The men said they had planned to return the fish to the water, but it died as a result of “self-sustained” injuries it received from the jump.
The marlin was instead given to local fishermen.
